Announcing two upcoming concerts that provide an opportunity to hear Bay
Area outstanding youth jazz musicians as well as their mentors:

 

 

Saturday, March 22nd, 7 pm

Concert at Acalanes High School Theater featuring:

The Jazzschool Studio Band

The Jazzschool Middle School Big Band

and special guest performers: The Jazzschool Composers Collective

 

The Jazzschool Composers Collective will feature some of the Bay Area's top
jazz musicians - the line up includes; Saxophones: Larry DelaCruz, Sheldon
Brown, Aaron Lington, Michael Zilber; Trumpets:  

Steffen Kuehn, Marvin McFadden, Doug Morton, Don Beck; Trombones:  

John Gove, Dave Martell, Rob Ewing; Rhythm Section: Johannes Wallman, Peter
Barshay, Jason Lewis.

COST: $10.

 

 

 

 

Sunday, March 30th, 7 pm

Concert at The Jazzschool, 2087 Addison Street, Berkeley

 

The concert will feature the Jazzschool's top youth ensembles including the
two advanced high school workshops (under direction of Mike Zilber and Erik
Jekobson) and the Jazzschool Studio Band(under direction of Keith Johnson).

COST: Free. 

Seating is limited so come early.
